In order to meet the challenges of global climate change, "green low-carbon" and "sustainable development" have become an international consensus. Energy is the main battlefield for achieving a carbon peak, and it is an important way to steadily promote the "double carbon" goal to accelerate the construction of a new energy system based on electricity while ensuring a safe and stable supply of energy and realizing the green and low-carbon transformation of energy.

During the 14th Five-Year Plan period, China's installed capacity of renewable energy has increased significantly. The large-scale integration of new energy power into the power grid brings great challenges to the safe and stable operation of the power system. Natural gas power generation has many advantages such as peak shifting performance, low emission, and high efficiency, which is an important supplement to new energy power. At present, various regions in China are studying the construction of a batch of gas turbine peak-shifting power plants in areas rich in natural gas and wind and solar resources. In addition, flexible and efficient natural gas-distributed energy stations will provide reliable support for industrial parks, logistics parks, tourism service areas, large-scale commercial facilities, transportation hubs, schools, hospitals, and other areas. By the end of June 2022, China's installed capacity of natural gas power generation will reach 110 million kilowatts, ranking third in the world. It is estimated that by 2025, China's installed capacity of natural gas power generation will reach 147-157 million kilowatts, and by the end of the 15th Five-Year Plan, it will exceed 220 million kilowatts.

A gas turbine, as one of the major national “two machine special projects”, is known as the “pearl on the crown” in the manufacturing industry. R&D and the application of innovative technologies of gas turbines play an important role in the development of the gas power industry. At present, the localization rate of gas turbines produced in China has reached more than 70%, but in the manufacture of some key components and materials such as gas turbine combustion chambers and high-temperature transonic blades, China has not mastered the independent design and manufacturing technology. If these problems cannot be effectively alleviated, the development of China's gas power industry will be hindered for a long time.

Since 2013, the 10th Asia Gas Turbine Focus Conference and Exhibition has successfully held 9 offline summits, more than 20 online exchanges, and circle salons, bringing together State Power Investment Corporation, State Power Investment Corporation, Huaneng, Huaneng, Datang, and other state power generation groups, Shanghai Electric, Dongfang Turbine, Harbin Turbine, GE, Siemens, Mitsubishi, and more than 30 domestic and foreign gas turbine complete machine manufacturing enterprises. The cumulative number of participants has exceeded 50,000, and many projects at home and abroad have been successfully docked. By building a global professional exchange platform, discussing innovative business models, introducing frontier technologies, and sharing advanced cases, it has become the top annual event that decision-makers in the gas turbine industry pay attention to.

With the theme of “Gas Turbine Technology for Low-Carbon Society”, the 10th Asia Gas Turbine Focus Conference and Exhibition will be held in Wuxi from July 5 to 7, 2023, which will be presented in the form of “Meeting + Exhibition”. In view of this, we sincerely invite you to attend the exchange, work together for the development of China's gas power industry, and move towards a zero-carbon future!
