Successful Conclusion of the 2023 10th Asia Gas Turbine Focus Conference & Exhibition!

GTF2023, themed "Gas Turbine Technology for a Low-Carbon Society," was grandly held today at the Taihu International Expo Center in Wuxi. As one of the most influential professional forums in the domestic "two-engine" industry (gas turbines and aviation engines), the conference was jointly organized by the Chinese Society of Power Engineering, the Chinese Society of Aeronautics and Astronautics, the Institute of Engineering Thermophysics of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and Decision Maker Think Tank. Co-hosted by the Shichang Xu Advanced Materials Innovation Center of the Institute of Metals Research of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, the Maintenance Branch of the China Electricity Market Association, Huaneng (Shanghai) Power Maintenance Co., Ltd., Wuxi Science and Technology Equipment Industry Chamber, Jiangsu Province "Two-Engine" Key Parts Innovation Alliance, and Shanghai Decision Maker Economic Consultant Co., Ltd., the event received support from the People's Government of Wuxi, attracting nearly 2,000 professionals from the "two-engine" industry. The aim was to promote the sustainable development of the "two-engine" industry chain through deep integration and empower the healthy development of the industry.

Vice Mayor of Wuxi, Zhou Wendong, Professor-level Senior Engineer and Chairman of the 10th Shanghai Political Consultative Conference, Jiang Yiren, Chairman of the Chinese Society of Aeronautics and Astronautics, Lin Zuoming, and other important leaders attended the opening ceremony and delivered speeches. Zhang Shulin, Vice Chairman and Secretary-General of the Chinese Society of Power Engineering, presided over the opening forum.

Distinguished scholars, including academician Ni Weidou from Tsinghua University's Department of Energy and Power Engineering, academician Lu Bingheng from Xi'an Jiaotong University, and academician Pan Fusheng from Chongqing University and Chairman of the Chongqing Association for Science and Technology, delivered insightful keynote speeches.

Following the opening forum, the conference held three parallel forums in the afternoon of the first day, focusing on "User Experience Exchange: Gas Turbine Power Generation's Future Opportunities and Challenges," "Distributed Energy and Gas Turbine Unit Selection," and "Gas Turbine Talent Cultivation and Development." The second day of the conference also featured three parallel forums focusing on "Gas Turbine Technology for a Low-Carbon Society," "Materials and Manufacturing," and "Gas Turbine Operation, Maintenance, and Supply Chain Management." Over the two-day meeting, the discussions revolved around the economic and reliable aspects of gas turbine power generation projects in the context of the dual carbon goals. The event paid close attention to user experience and explored the development of gas turbine technology and the future of gas and electricity. Leaders, experts, scholars, and professionals from government, industry, academia, research, and application sectors came together to jointly strategize the talent development for the gas turbine industry and empower the advancement of the "two-engine" technology.

Simultaneously with the conference, nearly 70 leading enterprises in the "two-engine" field showcased their latest products and technologies at the exhibition, witnessing breakthroughs in numerous significant technologies, deepening international cooperation along the industry chain, innovative projects, and case studies.

During the conference, the Decision Maker Think Tank research team presented the live report on "Global Perspective on Gas Turbine Annual Events and Future Analysis," which received widespread acclaim from industry experts. Building on a decade of in-depth research in the "two-engine" field and in collaboration with multiple experts and scholars from the industry, the think tank released the "2023 Gas Turbine Industry Development White Paper" and the "Gas Turbine Industry Supplier Directory (2023 Edition)."
